SPFBO5 Final Results – SPFBO 6 is coming!
After many months of excitement, the final results from SPFBO5 have come in.
For those who don’t know what SPFBO is, it is an annual contest for self-published fantasy books in which 300 books are entered and split amongst 10 judging blogs for assessment and each one picks a finalist to forward to the next round. Those 10 finalists are then read and reviewed by each of the 10 judges who score it and a winner is found. Think of it as a Thunderdome for books.
The entries were very strong this year and I’m very proud to say Kalanon’s Rising finished 5th. One of the judges even picked it as their favourite of the bunch! You can check out all the scores and links to reviews here.
I want to say a MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to M.L. Wang for her win with the book Sword of Kaigen. It’s a terrific book.
I also want to acknowledge all of the other finalists, who have become firm friends over this time. I recommend them AND their books.
